Anger New Yorker Yankees All-Star implodes in the latest spring training start

New York Yanke started Pitcher Marcus Strom, said at the beginning of the spring training that he would not accept that he would be a reliever because he seems to be the strange man out of a robust start.

The Yankees manager Aaron Boone didn't seem to be too concerned about it, and said we let the spring training find out.

Well, nobody went away happily against the Atlanta Braves on Sunday.

The Yankees lost, 11-1. The power started and could not come through three innings. He went 2.2 pictures, gave four goals, four deserved runs and two homes. He also ruled out a bat.

This was done after a solid start to spring training when he threw a goalless inning against the Tampa Bay Rays on February 21. He allowed two hits and struck a bat.

Austin Riley and Matt Olson jumped on power in the first inn to find Homeruns. Both were solo recordings. Riley used power in the third and doubled home to make it 3-0. The power was responsible for the other run, which scored in the third goal.

While power in spring training has a 1-1 record, his era rose to 9.82.

Roman reported a few days late after a low season, in which the Yankees added the starting trotation with a seven-year-old deal worth more than $ 200 million. With Fried to Gerrit Cole, Clarke Schmidt, Carlos Rodon and Luis Gil, it may not seem to be space for electricity in rotation.

Rumors whirled out that power that was in the second year of a two -year contract could be traded before the spring training. But that didn't happen. When he arrived in Tampa, he was asked if he would take on a Bullpen role. He said he wouldn't be stuck out of the bullpen. In fact, according to Associated Press, he repeated the words “I am a starter” in a period of 13 seconds.

Well, power could get his wish, but not based on performance. On Saturday, the Yankees Gil sent to get an MRI on a narrow shoulder that became a problem during a bullpen meeting on Friday. New York is already several pitchers in his bullpen, but Gil is the first starter of the Major League in which he takes part in testing. Boone said Gil could cost some time to rise for the regular season.

It may be a good thing that the Yankees power did not act after they were fried. The veteran, who was only an all-star in 2023, can prove useful.

But not if he set up like him on Sunday. This will not work, regardless of whether it breaks out of the rotation or the bullpen.
