Annie Malone May Day Parade will return on May 18

St. Louis, Mo (first alarm 4) – the Annie Malone May Day Parade, an estimated tradition of St. Louis for over a century, is officially back on Sunday, May 18.

After strong support and advocacy at the state level, the organizers confirmed that the parade will progress to ensure that this historical celebration continues.

Keisha Lee, CEO of Annie Malone, shared the good news after meeting the heads of state and government in Jefferson City. “The support was overwhelming – they made calls, they took measures and the parade takes place! Now we need the community to appear. Let your groups, dance teams and organizations register – it's time! “

The parade is more than a celebration and serves as an important fundraiser for Annie Malone Children & Family Services and supports programs for endangered young people and families in St. Louis. This year's event will contain marching bands, dance teams, community groups and local companies that have committed to returning.

The organizers also ask the participants to support Parade sponsors. “Take a look at the banner and companies along the route – these are the people who invest in your community. If your business or grocery store is not there, consider where you spend your dollars. “

If the registration is now open, the organizers ask the community to make this the largest and best parade.
