Annual girls' day in the town hall returns to inspire young women

Milwaukee – The 15th annual girls' day at the town hall event begins this morning in Milwaukee.

According to a press release, the annual event, created by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs, is intended to expose hundreds of young women in the middle and high school age to strong female models in political leadership and career in the public service.

“Representation in the career of the government and the public service has covered a long way, but more female voices and perspectives are required. Fulfill and rewarding these jobs, and we hope to suspend young women a lifelong passion for improving our common community, ”said Alderwoman Coggs. “Girls' Day is a fantastic opportunity to watch the public service and learn something, and at the same time meet women who are currently making a difference and inspire others to do the same. Those who are present should register and make sure that they do not miss this outstanding opportunity. “

The all-day event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Milwaukee City Hall, 200 E. Wells St.

It includes panel discussions with women in election practice and one with women in other careers with speakers and opportunities for active engagement with several public service organizations that are concentrated on young women and are led by women.
