The best news about today is that we do not deal with Blizzard conditions.

We actually predict that the heights in the 30s and low 40s are warmer.

The clouds will increase all day long because our next winter system from the Rocky Mountains approaches.

This will bring rain this evening before going into snow.

We predict that the rain will be in snow tonight when our temperatures drop.

Our winds will also be a bit airy, but nothing as we saw on Tuesday evening and on Wednesday.

The national weather service has placed a large part of Siouxland under a winter weather consultation in the evening until Friday at 6 p.m.

We will probably see that this winter weather warning will be improved to a winter storm warning.

Below is what the radar could look like tonight at 6 p.m. and runs into Friday afternoon.

The snow ends on Friday afternoon when things improve.

This is the latest of the snow forecast for Siouxland.

For the most part, we will see widespread 3 to 6 inch snow with some localized higher quantities, especially for our counties in the west.

This snow forecast will probably change all day.

Due to the snow, we released a first watchful weather day on Friday because the snow affects our morning pendulum traffic.

The good news is that things will improve in the afternoon on Friday.

Our heights will recover at the weekend when they climb into the 40s, 50s and 60s.

Next week looks calm and warm in the 50s and 60s.
