Apartment Fire replaces several tenants in Springfield

Springfield Tennessee (Smokey Barn News) – In the Cumberland Square Apartments, formerly known as Southfield Apartments, broke out in Springfield in Springfield on Thursday evening. The first call came at 6:28 p.m.

The Springfield fire brigade reacted together with the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, Springfield Police and Robertson County Ems. There was a report on minor smoke inhalation, but no serious injuries were reported. All residents made it safe and nobody was transported from the scene. Springfield Fire brought his ladder car to the scene together with two other engines.

Several residential units in a building were stopped by fire, smoke or water damage. The fire seems to have started in a lower unit, spread to an upper unit and then get to the attic before spreading further. Springfield Fire worked quickly to control the fire within minutes and prevent further damage.

The crews are still on site, so the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. It will probably take a few hours for the firefighters to eliminate the area. As soon as we have more information, we will bring it to you. Numerous individual apartments (eight to us) and the American Red Cross was called.
