Areaa donates another 30,000 US dollars to support Maui Fire Recovery: Maui now

The Asian Real Estate Association of America Foundation or the “Area Foundation” has provided another donation for families affected by the forest fires of Lahaina.

On February 28, the Hawaii chapter from Area Hoʻla Iā Mauiakama Disaster Long -Soldar Recovery Group presented homeowners and families in reconstruction after the catastrophe.

The donation follows an earlier contribution of 30,000 US dollars from the Area Foundation to Maui Economic Opportunity, which supported displaced people in the apartment balance. A total of 60,000 US dollars contributed to the support of Lahaina fire survivors.

The emeritus chairman of Area and Chair of all Okamoto and chair of the Area Foundation, Nancy Obando, presented the donation to the leadership of Hoʻōla LTRG. The organization offers direct support, guidance and coordinated resources to help families recover, build up houses and regain stability.

“Areaa is honored to support the efforts to relax, help families to return home and to build their future,” said Okamoto.

The National President of Area, Jamie Tian, ​​and National Vice President Bryan Ahn also took part in the presentation in Wailuku. Ahn, a graduate of the McKinley High School, who grew up in Hawaii, expressed his personal connection to the recovery efforts.

“When someone who was born and grew up in Hawaii, it was heartbreaking to see the devastation in Lahaina,” said Ahn. “Our community is based on resilience and Aloha, and I am proud that Areaa can play a role in getting families back on their feet.”
