Little Rock, Ark. – On Monday, the state of Arkansas announced that the leadership and state IDs can be downloaded by leaders as digital license or ID to mobile devices.

This new function is available when Arkansans download the “Arkansas Mobile ID” app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and decide to register your digital license or ID.

According to officials from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), the digital licenses and IDS are a “contactless, high -proof. [and] State -approved login information that Arkansans keep on their smartphones.

“The introduction of a safe mobile ID helps the Arkansans to access their documents when and where they need them and brings the state government in line with the technology of the 21st century,” said Sarah Huckabee Sanders, governor of Arkansas.

Currently, the digital license and the ID can be provided as a valid form of the ID to “participating companies and venues”. State officials said that they expect the number of participating companies and organizations to increase over time.

In addition, DFA officers said that the digital licenses are available to any corporate or law enforcement organization. According to DFA, the digital licenses can be used to confirm a person with a mobile ID of Arkansas.

With regard to the future of the app, the DFA said that the state is still working with TSA so that the digital IDs are recognized by its system as a valid ID form. Officials stated that the digital IDs will be approved for the flight check in the coming summer.
