The Wolverines went 24-9 this season and in the conference game 14-6. In order to get to the Big Ten tournament championship game on Sunday, the Wolverines defeated tournament No. 6, Purdue 86-68 before winning a nail biter against Maryland, tournament No. 2, 81-80. In the victory over the TERPS, the elite front court -duo Daniel Wolf and Vladislav Goldin combined for 46 points, 24 rebounds and four assists.
