Attorney General in Florida opens criminal investigations against Tate Brothers

Florida's Attorney General announced on Tuesday that a criminal investigation had been initiated against social media influencer Andrew and Tristan, who are charged with human trafficking in Romania.

The Attorney General of Florida, James Uthmeier, said that he instructed his office to work with the law enforcement authorities to carry out a preliminary examination of the Tate brothers last week after their arrival in Florida.

“Based on a thorough review of the evidence, I have instructed the Office for national law enforcement to carry out search commands and to issue lectures in the now active criminal examination of the Tate brothers,” said Uthmeier via the social media platform X.

Uthmeier too on Tuesday told an EW scripps reporter that The deeds have “admitted to the public, which apparently seems to be attended to be human trafficking, to excite women around the world”, and added that such behavior in Florida is unacceptable.

Uthmeier said that the state “every instrument that we have in our legal authority in order to take them to account” and to carry out the examination with “full legal force”.

The 38 -year -old Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan (36) were arrested at the end of 2022 and officially charged in Romania last year because they took part in a criminal ring that attracted women to this country, where they were sexually exploited. Andrew Tate is facing an additional rape fee. Both denied the allegations against them.

The brothers, who held double the US citizenship, arrived on Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 27, after the Romanian prosecutors had lifted a two-year travel ban and allowed their return to the United States.

After the arrival of the brothers, governor Ron Desantis told the brothers that they were not welcome in Florida and that Uthmeier was investigating whether the state authorities have jurisdiction for the matter.

“Florida is not a place where you are welcome with this kind of behavior,” said Desantis, adding that the state had neither participation nor was informed about the arrival of the crime.

Joseph McBride, the lawyer who represented the brothers Tate, rejected Desantis's claims and said the brothers had filed a lawsuit against those who accused them of human trade.

“Andrew & Tristan Tate are American citizens. They are also the plaintiffs and victims in a very public defamation lawsuit that was convicted in front of the Palm Beach Court, ”said McBride.

Andrew Tate spoke to reporters at Fort Lauderdale Airport on February 27 on February 27 that he and his brother were “largely misunderstood” and that they were not condemned for crime.

“We live in a democratic society in which it is innocent until they have proven to be guilty,” he said. “There are many opinions about us, things that go around us on the Internet.”

Andrew Tate, a former professional kickboxer and self-described women's enemy with over 10 million followers on the social media platform X, repeatedly claimed that the Romanian prosecutors have no evidence against him and claimed a political conspiracy to silence him.

Your journey back to the United States will follow a court in December, in which legal and procedural regulators are directed in December in order to prevent your case from being brought to justice.

However, the indictment against them remains active, and in Romania a separate examination lasts.

In the United Kingdom, four women also pursue a civil lawsuit against Andrew Tate and claims sexual violence and physical abuse. In a joint explanation on February 27, the women said that they were “incredulous and felt traumatized by the news of the abolition of the travel ban.

According to a separate case from 2012 to 2015, the crime is also a potential delivery to the United Kingdom after a court in March 2024 in Bucharest.

At the end of last year, a British court also allowed the authorities to confiscate over £ 2.6 million (3.3 million US dollars) from the brothers to cover unpaid taxes and to freeze some of their accounts.

Andrew Tate described the actions as “direct theft” and “a coordinated attack on anyone who dares to challenge the system”.
