Auburn Football season start in Baylor receives a new date

The Auburn Tiger's season opener against the Baylor Bears has changed. According to Brett McMurphy of Action Network, the game is postponed on one day until Friday, August 29th. The kickoff time remains to be seen.

This report was confirmed by Brian Stultz of Auburn Rivals. The game, originally planned for the day after, will be a normal street game at the McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas.

This matchup is part of a house and at home between the two programs. Baylor will travel to the Jordan Hare Stadium next season on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Auburn will try to get a Power Four victory from the goal. Last season it took nine to do this until week. Auburn defeated Kentucky with 24-10 in Lexington, Ky. It was one of two overall winnings all the season.

The Tiger try to improve a 5-7 (2-6) season in 2024, in which they missed the bowl season for the second time in three seasons.
