Augustana will start the Football League for women's flag

Sioux Falls, SD (Dakota News Now) – Augustana University recently announced a new partnership with the Minnesota Vikings and five other schools to start their new flags football League for women.

The Vikings and the NFL support the program with a financing of 140,000 US dollars to get the league up and running.

“When they suggested this idea and only said: 'We will help you.' Not only financially, but also the planning and these media things and simply to help it. Working together with a large organization such as the NFL is only huge for Augustana University and for the women who will play for us in this team, ”said Kiley Coyne, head coach of women -flagging football coaches.

Next month before the championship tournament on April 26th at the TCO Stadium in Eagan, Minnesota, in a series of Jamborees will be at the game.
