Aurora Chorus in Portland marks the international women's day with a special concert

Portlands Aurora chorus is an integrative women's women's choir that was founded in 1992 with the aim of increasing women's voices through the art of choral music.

Led to a large part of his story by the renowned composer and conductor Joan Szymko The choir also emphasizes female leaders and composers. Rebecca Parsons has managed the choir in recent years and says that this group differs from others, the simultaneous quality of the music and the community that create women together.

The topic of This year's international women's day concert On March 8th there is “undivided” and focuses on the mental health of young women. Parsons joins us and soprano Jae Douglas, who has sang with Aurora since 2018.
