Australia's resistance market to observe the upward consumption trend is expected to be 47 million units and US until 2035

The market for resistance in Australia is expected to be increased in the next decade to increase consumption. The forecast of +2.2% in volume and value of +2.3% from 2024 to 2035 should bring the market volume to 47 million units and the market value by the end of 2035 to $ 5.1 billion.

Driven by the increasing demand for resistance in Australia, the market will probably start an upward consumption trend in the next decade. The performance of the market is expected to increase slightly, with an expected CAGR of +2.2% for the period from 2024 to 2035 expected by the end of 2035 to 47 million units to 47 million units.

The best -known growth rate was recorded in 2020 when the production volume rose by 34%. Resistor production reached a high of 96 million units in 2013. From 2014 to 2024, however, production could not be declined to dynamics.

The resistance production in 2024 was slightly expanded to $ 4 billion in the export price in 2024. Overall, however, production showed a deep reduction. The growth pace was fastest in 2020 with an increase of 36% compared to the previous year. In 2013, production reached the maximum level at $ 10.7 billion in 2013. From 2014 to 2024, however, production was somewhat lower.

Imports

Australia's imports of electrical resistors (except for heating residues)

The resistance imported to Australia in 2024 to 6.9,000 units, which is due to 2023 by -89.7%. During the checking period, imports recorded a significant decline. The growth pace seemed to be the fastest in 2023 when imports rose by 575% compared to the previous year. In 2014, imports reached a highlight of 683,000 units. From 2015 to 2024, however, imports could not get back in the dynamics.

In the values, the resistance rose to $ 34 million in 2024. Overall, total imports showed a pronounced expansion from 2013 to 2024: the value rose by average annual rate of +4.0%in the last eleven -year period. However, the trend pattern showed that some noticeable fluctuations were recorded during the analyzed period. Based on 2024, imports rose by +65.2%compared to 2020 indices. The pace of growth seemed to be the fastest in 2021 when imports rose by 29% compared to the previous year. The imports reached its peak in 2024 and are expected to keep growth in the coming years.

Imports by country

The United States (16K units), China (13K units) and Great Britain (4.8,000 units) were the main providers of resistance in -Australia, which made 50% of total imports. Germany, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan (Chinese), India, France, Italy and Hong Kong, SAR, remained a little behind it and included another 32%.

From 2013 to 2023, Mexico (with a CAGR of +2.9%) achieved the most remarkable growth rate in relation to purchases among the main providers, while imports experienced a decline for the other leaders.

With regard to the implementation of the value, the United States ($ 9.4 million), China ($ 5 million) and Germany (1.7 million USD) formed the largest resistance providers of Australia, which together made up 57% of total imports. Japan, Taiwan (Chinese), Great Britain, France, Mexico, India, Italy and Hong Kong, SAR, stayed together and made another 27%.

With regard to the main providers, France with a CAGR of +13.3%recorded the highest growth rates with regard to the value of imports in the verifier period, while purchases for the other managers recorded more modest growth substances.

Import prices to land

The average import price of the resistance was $ 417 per unit in 2023 and decreased by -87.2% compared to the previous year. Overall, however, the import price showed considerable growth. In 2022, the pace of growth was most pronounced and an increase of 959% compared to the previous year. As a result, the import price reached the top level of 3.3 thousand per unit and then shrank noteworthy the following year.

From 2013 to 2023, Hong Kong SAR (+43.3%) was reached the most remarkable growth rate, while the prices for the other most important suppliers recorded more modest growth strips.

Export

Australia's exports of electrical resistance (except for heating residues)

In 2024 approx. 66k units of electrical resistors (except for heating resistance) were exported from Australia; increases by 108% compared to the previous year. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The best -known growth rate was recorded in 2019 when exports rose by 723% compared to the previous year. The exports reached its peak in 2024 and it is expected to keep growth in the immediate vicinity.

In 2024, resistance exports rose to $ 7.8 million in value sales. Overall, exports continue to point out a strong increase. The growth pace was fastest compared to the previous year in 2019 with an increase of 135%. The exports culminated in 2024 and are likely to have gradual growth in the near future.

Exports by land

New Zealand (11k units), Thailand (6.2k units) and South Korea (3.5K units) were the main destinations of resistance exports from Australia, which made 64% of total exports.

From 2013 to 2023, the largest increases for Thailand (with a CAGR of +66.3%) were recorded, while the programs recorded more modest growth substances for the other managers.

New Zealand (USD 1.2 million) is the most important foreign market for electrical graves (except for heating residues) exports from Australia, which make up 37% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by South Korea (482,000 US dollars) with a 14% share of total exports. Thailand followed with a share of 12%.

From 2013 to 2023, the average annual value growth rate for New Zealand was +10.4%. Exports to the other main destinations recorded the following average annual export rates: South Korea (+47.4% per year) and Thailand (+77.0% per year).

Export prices to land

The average export price of the resistance was $ 105 per unit in 2023 and shrank over -23.8%compared to the previous year. However, during the checking period, the export price showed a resistant increase. The best -known growth rate was recorded in 2015 when the average export price rose by 84% compared to the previous year. During the checking period, the average export prices in 2018 reached record height of $ 237 per unit. From 2019 to 2023, however, export prices remained in a lower number.

The prices varied noticeably according to the country of destination: In the middle of the top suppliers, the country was with the highest price in Great Britain ($ 178 per unit), while the average price for exports according to Kenya ($ 864 per thousand units) was to the lowest.

From 2013 to 2023, the most remarkable growth rate in relation to the prices for the supply of Great Britain (+19.6%) was recorded, while the prices for the other main destinations recorded more modest growth pacts.
