Bamacentral Courtside: Florida 104, Alabama 82

Nashville, Tenn. – Alabama Crimson Tide's basketball team was on a Buzzsaw at the Seco tournament in the form of the Florida Gator.

The Gators kept their hot series running and won the fifth game in a row by defeating Alabama 104-82 in the Sec-Tournament semi-final. Florida's offense was on fire and set up a new SEC tournament record for points in a single game and shot over 50 percent from the field, since the defense of the Crimson Tide was miserable, especially in the second half.

The game turned for the Crimson Tide when striker Grant Nelson left the game late in the first half after suffering a knee injury. Florida was only one point in front when Nelson went 3:40 in the first half. The Gator used his injury and exhibited the purple tide 61-40 the rest of the path.

Florida's Walter Clayton Jr. was particularly dangerous. She led all the scorers at 22 and made 6 out of 11 from beyond the arch and played six templates to include his teammates.

Alabama is now entered into a familiar territory, since the Crimson Tide has to roll in a emphatic defeat against Florida at the SEC tournament in the discharge and prepare for the NCAA tournament, as the selection is on Sunday morning.
