Banff describes Hund as “malignant” after viral video by Deer Incident – Discoverairdrie.com

The city of Banff says that an incident between a dog and a mule deer that was caught on video and became viral is still being examined. City officials say that the dog was shown a devil's animal under the Animal Services bylaw, and the owner has complied with the requirements.

The ongoing investigation examines further legal requirements, including the need to maintain control over a domesticated animal to prevent harassment, to pursue or bite an animal, even in a leash,” said the city in a social media post on Wednesday.

The incident that took place in Banff at the beginning of this month was shot and later viral after being shared online. According to the post of the city, Parks Canada is working on the ongoing examination of an “incident in which a dog is involved in which a deer bites”.

Parks Canada said at the beginning of this week that it would also be examined. The agency said the case should be remembered that dogs always have to be created and controlled.

“It is not only the right one, it is also the law,” said Parks Canada in public terms.

The city of Banff always requires that dogs are being created at any time, except in the designated dog park outside of linen or on fenced private property. Parks Canada also warns that dogs outside of the line can provoke wild animals such as grizzly bears and moose or damage smaller species unintentionally.

Feeding, temptation or disturbing wild animals in the Banff National Park is illegal. Violations can be exposed to judicial appearances and fines of up to 25,000 US dollars.

A video of the incident was later published in Reddit.
