Barbie lets her “create” her own doll for the first time.

In order to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Barbie-Basics, a series of Barbie Dolls by Collector's Edition, the Dollmaker publishes a brand new series of mix-and-match barbie dolls with interchangeable puppet bodies, heads, wigs and universal fitions.

The more customers collect, the unique look you can create to play and display your unique Barbie collection, said Mattel Creations in a press release on Friday. The first of three “Create” kits was made available online for 100 US dollars from Thursday, March 6th.

Barbie announced on Thursday to honor women in music with two new dolls who represent important roles in the music industry: music artists and tour managers.

The dolls, inspired by the Grammy Award singer Alicia Keys and her relationship with her recording and mixing engineer Ann Mincieli, who founded “She is the Music”, an industry-wide movement to strengthen female creators.
