Barracuda burned by slow start against Firebirds

Palm Desert, approx. -The San Jose Barracuda (26-19-2-3) fell back in the Acrisure Arena in the early Sunday afternoon and could not dig outside. It fell 5: 3 against the Coachella Valley Firebirds (20-17-1-5).

The Barracuda would score in its own network just 48 seconds after the beginning of the first period, after captain Jimmy Schuldt tried to push the puck back to goalkeeper Aaron Dell to get a pipe, but it went through his five. Jani Nyman (23) was the last player who touched it for the coachella Valley, so the goal was attributed to him. At 5:41 the Firebirds jumped 2-0 in the lead when Gustav Olofsson (3) brought a goalless 23-game village out of the left with a visual shot, the Dell's five-hole went through. Below of a couple managed to kill the Barracuda to kill a couple of Firebirds Power, before Danil Gushchin (15) demolished a shot off the post and at 4:44 p.m. to make it 2-1.

In the second, with her third power play, the Firebirds would get up by two when Jagger Firkus (11) put the puck in the post when he was parked next to the network on the left wing. Later in the time Ben Meyers (19) made it 4-1 when he went around Dell at 3:33 p.m. Two minutes later, Andrew Poturalski (21) got a pass from Lucas Carlsson in the low slot and beat Philipp Grubauer under his glove to make it 4-2.

In the third page, Barracuda exceeded the Firebirds 15-5, but would not come into a goal until 7:45 p.m. when Colin White (8) appeared on Luca Cagnoni. Despite a close chance of Ethan Cardwell with 15 seconds in the game, the Barracuda could not tie it, and Logan Morrison (11) put the game at 7:58 p.m. with an empty way.
