Berlitz takes eighth place in 200 at BIG 12 championships in 200

Morgantown, W.Va. – The swimming and diving team of West Virginia University ended the third night of the competition on Thursday at the Big 12 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships in the Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.




Redshirt senior Danny Berlitz Qualified for the finale in men's 200 yard freestyle after touching the wall 1: 35.22. With a last time of 1: 37.48, Berlitz took eighth place in the final.


In the second year of women Victoria kidney Published the six fastest time in the program history in the prelets of the 100 Yard butterfly with a time of 54.02. Kidney recorded in the B final at the same time and took fifth place.


In the diving fountain in the second year Owen Recker with an end result of 293.75 fourth in the 1-meter B final of the men. For the women's team junior Abigail Sullivan led with an 18TH-Place the 3-meter place with 242.80 points.


In order to end the night, the men's relay team consisted of Berlitz and seniors Conner McBethPresent Justin Heimee And Jake Young Fifth in the 400 yard medley relay with a last time of 3: 09.06. That was the third fastest time in the program history


West Virginia will compete for the final on Friday at 1 p.m. EST for prelets and at 9:00 p.m. Both sessions will take place on ESPN+.
