Fast Draft diaries: How to deal with the narrow end position

Almost draft is different from any other available Ball Fantasy Football Draft because you can enter a draft and select six running backs or six wide recipients without position requirements. In today's quick design articles, I will carry out an in -depth analysis of the tight end position. Should you create a close end in your Flex 4 design or continue to prioritize the running backs and wide receivers? First, let us examine the historical performance of tight ends compared to other skill positions!

Historical data

With the data analysis tool for Player Profiler, I generated an evaluation report over the entire fantasy points every season. In 2024, four narrow ends were among the top -50 skill players in total imagination points. Since 2014, four tight ends have ended in the top 50 for the total points. Remarkably, the lowest evaluation season for narrow ends in 2020 occurred during pandemic.

If you examine this from a historical perspective, it is reasonable to expect that three to four tight ends in the top 50 end in the imagination. Interestingly, the average draft position (ADP) on the Flex 4 -Draft -Board includes four narrow ends: Brock Bowers (Pick 14), Trey McBride (Pick 16), George Kittle (Pick 41) and TJ Hockenson (selection 58).

Repetition of the 2024 season

Last season Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, George Kittle and Jonnu Smith were. Bowers is a fascinating case study. It was drawn in the rounds with medium to the end, but his total points were comparable to those of the WR9 and RB10. In the past five years, the narrow ends that ended with as many points as a WR1 were Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, Darren Waller and Zach Ertz. So we had two tight ends that were completed at almost elite level. And two other narrow ends that ended in good, but not the Elite company.

Trey McBride is ready for regression in 2025. He led the cardinals in destinations, receptions, courtyards and yards after catching, but only achieved two touchdowns. George Kittle remained healthy and the decline of Debo Samuel, combined with Brandon Aiyuk's injury, increased Kittle to the status of the main goal of the team. Jonnu Smith was the biggest surprise of everyone.

Similar to Kittle, Smith's role in the passing game increased due to injuries to his teammates. How can we use this information while we take part in fast designs in 2025? First, it is a sound strategy to target a close end. Close commitments have consistently shown the ability to score enough points year after year to compete with other skill positions. You can usually rely on three to four players to reach this benchmark. Who could be these players? Here are my four best ends that I would recommend on Flex 4 Best Ball Fantasy Football designs.

Upper tight ends

Trey mcbride

It is not often that you can design the leading recipient of a team in the second round, but that's Trey McBride. I have already mentioned that he led the team in most reception categories, but they were only hit twice. His touchdowns should tick next season, but there is a greater reason why I should address him.

Arizona invested a lot in passports last season last season and used Marvin Harrison Jr. in the first round, even if they add a passport, it should not be a player who will take away too many passes from McBride. He is a strong candidate who ended the season as a total TE1.

George Kittle

George Kittle has the tools to be the number 1 goal in the crime, and San Francisco has to be. Debo Samuel is gone. Brandon Aiyuk will return from an ACL tear that can take time to reach 100 percent again. Christian McCafrey and his lower body injury also have many questions. Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings will appear at more volume. Kittle's experience, however, will make a long way to make it an established recipient in San Francisco.

Brock Bowers

This is a little more difficult. The Raiders will be upgrading during the quarterback, other acquisitions can be used in Brock Bowers' production. There will be an improvement in the return position.

There were mocks in which the Raiders Travis Hunter or Tet McMillan land. There is a story of new head coach Pete Carroll, who uses several tight ends in his career. These negatives will end his chances of ending as TE1 as a total of TE1, but he has a strong case as a top five-TE. His talent is undeniable and Geno Smith will find him early and often.

Mark Andrews

Mark Andrew's first game this season with double-digit fantasy points was 6 in week 6, with rumors about the relaxation of his leg injuries and a car wreck in the training camp. After week 5, however, Andrews was a goal machine that scored 11 touchdowns in 12 games. We saw how Isaiah probably rose in week 1, but it is important to note that after this performance in week 1 he finished only four games with more than 10 fantasy points.

When Andrews passes to a new team, I think it is probably upside down, but not enough to record a Flex 4 tournament. Andrews is more of a “safe bet” to achieve a top five end. Could it be ended as No. 1? It is a real way that Lamar Jackson throws the ball.

Last thoughts

As soon as we have received landing sites with this rookie class, we can better understand potential outbreaks from rookie ends. I think whoever ends up with the Broncos, Colts, chargers and even saints. But that was revealing for me and hopefully for you! After you have looked at yourself in the past ten years, it is obvious that the top four end can be a clever addition to your FATTRAFT Best Ball Fantasy Football Dienstlate.
