The top rated team in the net ranking of the Big South Conference is the High Point University, which checked in 86 with its 26-5 record. Ken Pomeroy's ranking has a highlight in 88th place.

The next team in the conference? That would be Radford. Radford 164 has its 17-12 record online and 156 in Pomeroy's ranking.

For those who are wondering, the Highlanders are number 4 in the large conference tournament. The whole of them are UNC Asheville and Wintrop, two teams that have defeated Radford this season.

But a team from the Big South goes to the big dance. Will it be high as expected, or will a real ash pout come out of the Big South Conference tournament in Johnson City, Tennessee this week? Interestingly, in contrast to some other High Point conferences, only a goodbye in the quarter -finals will be received as No. 1, which means that you have to win three games to achieve the NCAA tournament.
