Big ten tiebreaker

Tiebreaker procedure for tournament seeds

1. The teams are set in tournament class No. 1 in the tournament bracket based on the last conference of the regular season.

2. The seeds of a team should correspond to its regular season finish (ie the champion is the seed No. 1, the second place in the No. 2 seeds, etc.).

3. Teams who ended in regular season No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 receive a “goodbye” in the first two rounds.

4. In the event of a tie for every place in the regular season, the following procedure is pursued to sow teams in the tournament bracket:

A. bonds with two teams:

1. Results of the head-to-head competition during the regular season.

2. The record of each team compared to the team, which takes up the highest position in the final start page of the regular season (or in the event of a draw for the championship, the next height position in the regular season) and continues through the overall ranking until a team receives an advantage.

  • A. When arriving in another couple of tied teams when comparing the records, use the record of each team against the collective teams as a group (before their own tie -breaking methods) and not the performance against the individual tied teams.
  • For example, when comparing records with a single team or a group of teams, there is a higher profit percentage, even if the number of games played against the team or group is unequal (ie 2-0 is better than 3-1, 2-0 is not better than 1-0 or 0: 0).

3.

4. The highest net ranking of the teams. Netto rankings that will be published on the last Friday of the regular season are used.

B. ties with more than two teams:

1. Results of the head-to-head competition during the regular season.

  • A. When comparing recordings with the tied teams, the teams are sown due to the group's percentage profit in the group, even if the number of games played against the team or group is unequal (ie 2-0 is better than 3-1, but 2-0 is no better than 1: 0 or 0: 0). If all teams under the group are separated due to the profit percentage, all bonds are broken. Ties are considered separate when a team (s) arises from the upper, medium or lower group and is awarded a seed.
  • For example, as soon as a seed has been given, all remaining teams have to restart the tiebreak process in the first criteria (e.g. if there is a four-team dungeon, a team with 4: 0, another is 3-1 and the last two are 2: 2, the two teams that change 2: 2 (head and head teams), and the teams, the teams, the 4: 0 and the teams. 3: 1 and 3: 1.

2. If the remaining teams are still bound, every record of the respective team is compared to the team, in which the highest position in the last route of the regular season occurs and is continued by the overall ranking until a team gains an advantage.

  • A. When arriving in another couple of tied teams when comparing the records, use the record of each team against the collective teams as a group (before their own tie -breaking methods) and not the performance against the individual tied teams.
