BigFork Girls Basketball Seniors complete unbeaten home record

BigFork – It was an emotional celebration in BigFork when the Valkyries honored the seniors Ava Davey, Keni Wade and Braeden Gunlock on Tuesday.

However, the team was able to join a victory for his last game of the year that strengthened an undefeated home record compared to the four years of the senior class in BigFork.

Davey said that the team was not aware of the performance until shortly before Tippoff.

“It was somehow crazy, I didn't even think about it until they told us in the changing room,” said Davey. “It was somehow like a surreal feeling because this is our home fitness studio and you don't want to lose in your home fitness studio. So it's cool to be able to say that we never did it.”

The creeps of the elderly of the elderly include an unbeaten home record, a state championship and several appearances in the state.

Gunlock said her trips started at a young age.

“It was one of the last home games that I can play with Keni and Ava. Since then we have been playing together, Oh Gosh, Ava since second class, Keni since fifth grade, ”said Gunlock. “So we knew a lot on the square outside of the square, so we drove many large milestones together and will simply continue to grow.”

This growth was gradually when these seniors learned from the players who came before them.

As a veteran in a young basketball team, Wade said that she was given new responsibility as a manager in this team.

“I went into a new role this year and it was a great experience. We have some really good players in our team, ”said Wade. “It was just a really cool experience to get each other to the best level.”

With Senior Night in the past, the Valkyries are now looking at the game after the season, and head coach Cortnee Gunlock has high expectations of their seniors

“I expect my seniors to continue to be executives. I expect them to get out with a lot of self -confidence and these others, who become a bit nervous, help to compete, but not quite safely,” said the coach. “And they will lead them and these three seniors know how to win and I know that they will do some very special things at the end of the season.”

The Valkyries will play next in Western A Divisional tournament, which is in Whitefish from March 6th to March 8th.
