Billy Joel quickly recovered after autumn during the concert, fans cheering: Watch

Billy Joel got some love from the crowd after a short stumbling block on stage at a concert.

The 75-year-old music icon disturbed his 1980 classic “It's Still to Me” from 1980, while on February 22nd in Connecticut in the Mohegan Sun Arena, as can be seen in a Tikok video that was posted by a concert visitor.

But after turning his microphone stand and throwing the audience on the audience, Joel stumbled and fell backwards and landed on his side.

Moments later, the five-time Grammy winner positioned himself on his back when the audience broke out on applause, and then he seemed to come back on his feet when the footage closed.

According to Setlist.fm, the rest of Joels Set continued as planned when the musician brought his encore performance by sang “Big Shot” and “You May Right”. Elsewhere on the show, Joel fans treated in classics such as “Piano Man”, “Movin 'Out (Anthony's Song)” and “Vienna”.

Joel's most recent appearance on Mohegan Sun took place before he is supposed to appear in the Rogers Center on March 15. The show has been the first performance by Joel for over a decade in Toronto.

Joel will also write history later in New York this summer when he makes him the first artist in all three major NYC sports stadiums – Yankee Stadium, Citi Field and Metlife Stadium.

“I look forward to playing these legendary stadiums this summer – each has personal meaning for me,” said Joel to Advertising board in an explanation.

“There is nothing better than the energy of the crowds in New York, and it is very worthwhile to share a stage with my friends Rod Stewart, Sting and Stevie Nicks, whose music always inspires me,” he continued.

Joel's Yankee Stadium visit will make him the first artist who ever appeared in the Old Yankee Stadium, which was closed after the 2008 season, and in the updated Yankee Stadium, which was opened in 2009. The New York Daily News reported.

Joel recently completed his long-time Residency in Madison Square Garden last year after playing a concert there every month from January 2014 to July 2024 (without the Pandemie of Covid-19 and the lack of shows in June 2017 and December 2022).

His last MSG concert marked his 150th show at the venue, and a permanent banner was applied in his honor.

“It was a dream that had come true,” said Joel at the time. “I came to the Madison Square Garden for the first time when I was a 4-year-old to see the circus and see how Gene Autry 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed reindeer sings. And now I do that. Thank you, mom!”

He added: “We don't want to go either, but it's time. It is 10 years. None of us knew that we could do this for a long time. This was the most amazing appearance we have ever done.”
