Blue Heron Paper Mill Fire was “accidental”, say the investigators

Oregon City Ore. (KPTV) – A massive fire in the Blue Heron paper factory was found as a “random” how the investigators revealed this week.

On Tuesday, the investigators announced that the fire was most likely caused by a stove or warming fire or cooking fire. They came to this conclusion after their investigator had confirmed that no electricity went into the building. They also confirmed that the homeless community was “definitely” in the building before the fire.

The building, which was partially destroyed by fire in 2020, was free for years and was often used by the homeless as accommodation.

Grand Ronde's confederated tribes, which had bought the paper mill in 2019, said they were “disappointed” after the end of the last month.
