(BPRW) KBla Talk in 1580 to organize the weekly show of the record exhibition of recreation, resilience and rebirth of Black Altadena

Weekly radio program “Conversation Live: Altadena Rising”, moderated by James Farr

(Black PR wire) Los Angeles: To Saturday, March 8, 10 a.m. PT, Kbla Talk 1580 will start “Conversation Live: Altadena Rising”, which is moderated by the award -winning journalist and filmmaker James Farr. This one-hour weekly live program will be the final source for the persecution of the recovery of Altadena, the reinforcement of survivors and considering the consideration of survivors. The program will be broken down on Sundays at 12 noon PT.

“We will use this media platform in black ownership to ensure that California, the nation and the world hear the stories of the hearing affected in Altadena,” said Tavis Smiley, founder of Smileyaudiomedia, Inc. and Chief Visionary Officer for KBLA Talk 1580. We intend to focus on families in Altadena and increase their voices. “

James Farr: A personal connection to the devastation of the fire

For James Farr, Altadas Eaton is personally. He lives on the border of Altadena, and while he and his family were lucky enough to escape the fires, lost friends and parishioners. For many, the fire extinguished more than physical property-es a deeply rooted community of black homeowners who build up generations of assets and independence.

“Eaton was more than a fire. It was the destruction of a black stronghold in which 80% of the residents were homeowners. These families not only lived here; They built generation. That is why this show is important – because it is about the reconstruction of Altadena, it is not just houses, but justice, ”added James Farr.

James Farr: A trustworthy voice for truth and justice

James Farr is not an unknown of KBLA Talk 1580. He regularly wears Dominique Diprima at KBlas Morgen show “First things first” and brings critical insight into problems that affect the black communities.

In the days after the fire, Farr produced the three-hour live remote transmission from KBLA from the Impact zone to ensure that the voices of the survivors were negotiated. Now, as the moderator of “Conversation Live: Altadena Rising”, he continues this mission and splits the reconstruction efforts, examines the causes of the fire and ensures that the recovery of Altadena remains a national priority.
