Breaking: Mercedes protests Australian GP result

Mercedes submitted a time penalty to Kimi Antonelli in the Australian Grand Prix for five seconds.

During the race, Antonelli received a time penalty of five seconds for a convicted insecure publication on Nico Hulkenberg's post during the close combat in the pit lane when the field for slick tires under the security car triggered by Fernando Alonso's crash was triggered.

In the final phase, Antonelli Albon came for fourth place on the street, but was downgraded to fifth place in the final result when he became the second youngest driver who scored points in F1 history, and the youngest in his F1 debut, although he turned early in round 4.

Mercedes has decided to protest the results in the international sports code as part of the review mechanism, where it has to present the administrator “new, significant and relevant” evidence in order to make them consider their punishment again.

The stewards will first determine whether Mercedes has met this threshold before it works again to determine whether the punishment is knocked out.

You will meet in Melbourne in the local period 1840.
