What to know?

In a text messages that were not sealed on Thursday, a surviving roommate between 4:22 and 4:24 a.m. Pacific Time on the day of the murders was written to say that none of the victims was “answered” and “confused”, an SMS with the roommate “BF” by roommates.

DM then wrote Goncalves's phone: “Kaylee … what's going on.”

BF replied to DM to express similar confusion and said that they saw Kernodle “everything black”. Dm replied to say that they were “freaky” before they added that they thought that Kernodle had something like “like ski mask”.

“Bf I don't make jokes when I was freaked out like this,” wrote DM in a subsequent text and asked BF to answer: “I am I.” The transcript ends with the fact that BF DM urges you to “run” to meet her in your room.

In the 911 Call transcript, one of the surviving roommates describes that finding Kernodle no longer reacts and at the same time reveals that “a man” was seen in their house during the night.

A short time later, the authorities reacted to the scene and discovered the corpses of all four victims.

What people say

District judge Steven Hippler with the chair of the case, warned prosecutors and defenders for submitting too many documents in a recent contract: “The Court of Justice will be asked for inquiries to seal documents just because they are supposed to contain facts that are not public, but will probably be given evidence of evidence … This case has used the greatest or actually misuse of sealed registrations that I have ever seen.”

Kohberger defender Anne Taylor argued in an application that the autism spectrum disorder of her client should frees him from the death penalty: “The ASD from Mr. Kohberger prevents it from being sentenced to death in a way that meets the constitutional requirements for proportionality and reliability. How adolescents and people with disabilities are not sufficient to be sentenced to death, the goals of deterrent and retaliation will not be met by his execution.”

What happens next

Kohberger is scheduled to appear in court on April 9th. The selection of the jury in the case is expected to begin at the end of July, while the trial is scheduled to begin on August 11th.
