Bucknell puts the College basketball record of Division I with the ninth OT game of the season

Funny fact: If you add the average number of minutes that every Bucknell player has registered this season, you will receive a cool … 41.8 per game.

What?

This number – one minute and 48 seconds more, approximately the length of a regulatory college basketball game – corresponds to the sheer number of overtime that the bison played this season. They played eight on Thursday. On Thursday they played ninth in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League to what ESPN+ described as a new Division I record.

Bucknell's squad of overtime games includes: a victory of 75 to 69 against Southern Indiana (November 7), a defeat from 93 to 89 against Mount St. Mary's (November 13), an 80-76 victory against Richmond (November 16), a 74–70 loss against Radford (December 8), a profit from 66–64 to 64 to 64. (A. 85–82 Defeat against Boston University (January 25), a defeat of 116–110 against the army (February 8) and a victory of 76 to 72 against Loyola-Maryland (Thursday).

The bison deserves a break, but there is no time for that: navy – and maybe another overtime game – awaits on Sunday in the conference semifinals.
