Calmer weather to start the week – finger lake weather

Finger Lakes Weather forecast Monday, March 17, 2025 A wet road comes from the lower right towards the middle of the picture, then turns back and disappears about half of the picture. To the left of the street there is a forest of bare deciduous trees, while on the right there is a yellowed field with more trees behind it. The sky over the head is mostly cloudy with some Blue sky spots in the distance.

Early weather

The weather pattern in our region takes over high pressure in the first few days of this week and brings quieter weather after an active weekend.

Cooler air is still slowly working into the area behind the storm system, which yesterday produced wind and storms. The temperatures will fall a little more this morning in the afternoon.

Therefore, the temperatures will be most of the day in the upper 30s or low 40s. Both warmer and cooler pockets are likely, with the south -level and the northern areas the coolest.

Northwest winds will be a bit stormy, but nothing like the wind at the weekend. The wind speeds are 10-15 miles per hour with gusts of no more than 30 miles per hour.

The clouds stay locked up on the spot through the morning and in the first half of the afternoon. A few rain or snow grapes will mainly be possible in the morning.

In the late afternoon, when a high pressure brings in, the clouds will separate and the day should end with a little sun.

In the evening the sky becomes mostly clear and stays over all night. Overnight stays fall into the mid -1920s.

On Tuesday there will be no more than a few small, thin clouds here or there.

The center of the high -pressure system will lie over the southeast of the United States. This position changes our winds to the southwest and quickly enables warmer air.

High temperatures on Tuesday are with most areas in the middle or upper 50s until the 1950s.

The winds on Tuesday will be slightly under 10 miles per hour and gusts of about 20 miles per hour.

Scattered clouds will move on Tuesday evening and continue until early Wednesday. Winds will turn to the due south, but remain easy. Overnight stays on Tuesday evening are around 40 degrees.

The temperatures will continue on Wednesday when southern winds are continued. Most areas should be somewhere around the mid -1960s.

Every sunshine should be limited to the morning, with the clouds increase and thicken the day. No rain is expected.

The wind becomes stronger on Wednesday at speeds over 15 miles per hour and gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour. These winds will continue by Wednesday evening and the nightly temperatures in the upper 40s or even 50s.

A cold front will go through on Thursday, probably in the afternoon. The rain showers are likely, together with some persistent stormy winds.

This system should be far less effective than yesterday.

The temperatures will be struggled back to the low 40s on Friday, but the sky looks sunny. Own winds in the morning are gradually relieved.

Uncertained weather is possible for the weekend, because on Saturday there is warmer than Sunday. There could be some showers on Saturday and on Sunday a snow from Lake Effect on Sunday, especially in the morning and lunch.

With regard to the next week, the weather seems to stabilize some with temperatures that usually remain in the 30s or 40s.
