Can Aaron Nola 2025 vice versa to trend towards Odd-Year fights?

For some reason, Aaron Nola achieved much better success in his career in even years than odd years. The Phillies will hope that in 2025 he can change his unhappy year.

Consider Nola's results in its last seven seasons:

2018: 2.37 ERA, 3.01 FIP, 0.97 whip, 17 Home Runs allowed, 5.5 War, 212 1/3 Innings set up

2019: 3.87 ERA, 4.03 FIP, 1.27 whip, 27 Home Runs allowed, 3.4 War, 202 1/3 Innings set up

2020 (Covid-shorted season): 3.28 ERA, 3.19 FIP, 1.08 whip, nine Home Runs allowed, 2.0 war, 71 1/3 Innerings set up

2021: 4.63 ERA, 3.37 FIP, 1.13 whip, 26 Home Runs allowed, 4.4 War, 180 2/3 Innings set up

2022: 3.25 ERA, 2.58 FIP, 0.96 whip, 19 Home Runs allowed, 6.3 war, 205 Innerings set up

2023: 4.46 ERA, 4.03 FIP, 1.15 whip, 32 Home Runs allowed, 3.9 War, 193 2/3 Innings set up

2024: 3.57 ERA, 3.94 FIP, 1.20 whip, 30 Home Runs allowed, 3.2 War, 199 1/3 Innings set up

Nola has an ERA of 3.07 in the last four balanced campaigns that include the 2020 60-game season. During his last three odd seasons, Nola has an ERA of 4.31.

An obvious area in which the Nola has to improve in odd years is the limitation of homes, even solo recordings. He has a 0.98 hours/9 in his last four of the same time. But it is 1.33 in odd years.

There are other players who had such trends.

Between 1985 and 1990 Bret Saberhagen won two Al Cy Young prices and had a war of 18.9 war in odd years. In even years, Saberhagen – the Kansas City Royals ASS – has accumulated 11.9 war.

A more modern example could be the second Baseman of Texas Rangers, Marcus Semien, who was an ALMVP finalist three times in his career, all in odd years -2019, 2021 and 2023.

Even here, Nola is not the only player who had a different year dynamics. The problem is that this was traditionally his year now.

It should be noted that Nola was still the most durable jug of his time. Since 2018, the fewest quantities have been registered in a full season of 162 games in 2021 180 2/3. This also means in years in which the rest of his back-of-the-the-be baseball card statistics don't look great, it still offers worth it.

But he has documented the seventh or higher in the voting of NL Cy Young Award, all of which (2018, 2020, 2022) came in even years. The Phillies hope that 2025 will be the first odd year that Nola will end among the top starters of the Senior Circuit.
