Case of Nikki McCain is now missing a murder examination

The Sheriff office of the Shasta County has escalated the disappearance of Nikki Cheng Saelee McCain to a murder case.

On May 22, 2024, McCain was reported to be missing by her family after hearing on May 18, 2024.

In collaboration with Homeland Security and the FBI, Detectives carried out a search command in McCain's former residence in the Olinda Road on March 14, 2025. Despite extensive efforts, including several search commands and interviews with family, friends and acquaintances, McCain is missing.

“Based on the collected evidence, information from interviews and the fact that none of Nikki's family members have heard of Nikki since May 18, 2024, Detective have found that Nikki is a victim of murder,” said the Sheriff's office.

While people have been identified by interest, their identities are held back on the basis of the ongoing examination. The authorities are looking for public support in the identification of a driver of a red truck who, between May 18 and May 25, 2024 near Highway 36 in Tehama, recorded a male adult in Tehama.
