Case River City Administrator Seth Atkin under the interior examination – River reporter case

The mayor of Fall River, Paul Coogan, has confirmed with the River Reporter case that the city administrator Seth Atkin is the subject of an unofficial internal examination. The city administrator is considered one of the most powerful position in the city government of Fall River and is responsible for the mayor for the proper administration of all city affairs.

After we had received several tips that Seth Atkin was examined by the mayor about alleged violations of the laws of conflicts of interest, we contacted the mayor Coogan, who confirmed that his office was investigating the accusations, but no details of what the examination had been associated with or when it was concluded. Mayor Coogan said he would report the results publicly if the examination has been completed.

After Seth Atkin was nominated by Mayor Coogan in 2022, three years ago he was unanimously approved by the city council by the city council for the position of the city administrator.
