A darts player was banished from sport for eight years after an investigation in which the Great Britain was involved in gambling commission, found him guilty for match fixing and bet on darts.




Prakash Jiwa was also instructed to pay 17,741.46 GBP according to the incidents that took place in the Super Series mode.

The Sportwetting Intelligence Unit of the gambling commission supported the probe, which concentrated between February and June 2023 on four games, each of which Jira lost.

John Pierce, the director of the enforcement of the gambling commission, said: “All betting customers in Great Britain should be confident that the bets that are set up with licensed gaming companies are on markets that are fair and free of corruption in connection with betting -related.

“Our sports betting intelligence unit works closely with partners such as the darts regulation Authority to support sports integrity investigations and combat game fixation.

“This decision sends a clear news that corruption in connection with bets is not tolerated in sports.”
