A department paper and leak arrested 26 railway officials, including a high -ranking electrical line from the Divisions -Elektroy from East Central Railway, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced on Tuesday.

The agency arrested the railway officials on Monday evening because they allegedly had examination documents for Chief Loco Pilot Promotions in Mughal Sarai and confiscated £1.17 Crore in cash during raids.

“During the checks carried out by CBI, a total of 17 candidates with photocodies of handwritten questionnaires were found in three places in the night (March 3 to 4 March) in Mogul Sarai,” said a CBI spokesman.

All 17 departmental candidates, who currently served as a look pilot, allegedly paid for the leaked question and were caught with copies in their possession during the raid, he said.

“In this case, a total of 26 railway officials (including the 17 aspirants) have been arrested,” said the spokesman in a statement.

The agency has submitted a FIR against a high -ranking divisional electrical engineer (operations), which was commissioned with the task to set and prepare the question paper for the exam.

“He himself had written the questions in English and allegedly gave them a locomotive pilot, who in turn translated them in Hindi and gave them further to another official. The civil servant said that there was supposedly the candidate through a few other railway employees, ”added the CBI spokesman.

The accused senior divisional Electrical Engineer (operations) is the arrested, he said.

“The search was carried out in eight locations, which was to restore von led £1.17 Crore in cash. The amount was allegedly collected by the candidates to raise the questionnaires, ”said CBI.

“The handwritten questionnaires together with their photocopies were confiscated. These questionnaires were achieved with the original question paper and found themselves unanimous, ”said the spokesman.
