A Heavy thunderstorm clock was exhibited for areas west of Syracus, which were highlighted on the map below.

A number of showers and storms will move through Central New York in the next few hours and possibly create harmful gusts of wind at around 60 miles per hour, especially in the waking area. Some tree damage and power failures can arise.

How much rain is expected?

The most likely time for the wet weather would be in the afternoon and the first part of this evening. For most, up to half a customs of up to one centimeter of precipitation is possible, with some locally higher sums possible.

In addition to the rain to end the weekend, the melting snow must be taken into account for some. There is still a strong snow cover over the Tug Hill, and part of it melts the rivers and streams of the region in the next few days. We will watch areas near Tug Hill to be flooded later on Sunday to Monday.
