Champions Trophy 2025: Australia and South Africa share points after the game was abandoned due to rain. Makes the group more interesting

The game of the Champions Trophy 2025 between Australia and South Africa was washed out on Tuesday due to persistent rain in Rawalpindi. The two teams each shared one point when the match was explained “no-result”.

ICC took X to X to confirm that the match had been abandoned due to the continuous rain in Rawalpindi, and wrote: “Consistent rainforce force the competition of the group B #Championrophy between Australia and South Africa.

The tournament became interesting with the result. The match between England and Afghanistan on Wednesday is now becoming a virtual Ko Spots.

Although the official cut-off time for a 20-over match was at 8:00 p.m., the match was deported much earlier, even if the rain had stopped.

However, since the rain continues and no signs of stopping, the officials said that the match was discontinued two hours before the specified time.

This is Australia's fourth game in the last seven Champions Trophy games from 2013.

Australia will now prepare for Afghanistan on Friday in the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. South Africa will play his final group game against England on Saturday at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

The Australia started their campaign with a record of 352 run against England. On the other hand, South Africa sailed a 107-year victory against Afghanistan in a one-sided affair.
