Chatham Co. Fire to host annual ‘Sound the Alarm’ event

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Red Cross responds to over 60,000 fires across the country and majority of them are in homes, according to Red Cross officials.

March 22nd is the annual ‘Sound the Alarm’ event where Chatham Co. Fire goes door to door giving out free smoke alarms and fire safety education.

Since the beginning of this program the Red Cross has installed at least three million alarms across the U.S. including 255 right here in Georgia.
