Chelsea desperately to achieve a result against Leicester – head coach Sonia Bombastor – The Irish News

The head coach of Chelsea, Sonia Bombastor, believes that her team will be “desperate” to achieve a good result in their struggle of women a week with Leicester in Kingsmeadow.

The blues set out points for the second time this season after Lauren James' equalization at the weekend saved a point in a 2-2 draw with Brighton.

The defending champion claimed her unbeaten WSL record to stay the top of the table, five points ahead of Manchester United – who defeated the fox on Sunday – and Bombastor hopes that a quick turnaround will help her team.

“This is always the best if you can play so quickly after a frustrating result,” she said.

“I think we'll play differently at home. If you drop two points, the game has the right attitude afterwards and we will desperately achieve a good result. We will be ready for the game on Wednesday. “

Manchester City also works during the week when she traveled to West Ham, and the boss Gareth Taylor revealed that Laura Coombs could get into a fight.

After Taylor won a hard -fought victory against Tottenham on Sunday, Taylor is now facing a tough test against the hammers, which were narrowly beaten by Arsenal.

Coombs has been absent in January since the victory of the City League Cup against the rival Manchester United, but could be seen in London.

When Taylor was asked about Injury News in a press conference, he replied: “As we are and also add to Laura Coombs, which is great. She trained, so she will come to the squad.

“Gives us another potential attack option and I think that's really positive for us.

“She was in good shape before she took this injury and was really important for this victory against Manchester United in the quarter -finals of the League Cup.

“It's a good thing that you return to some property, but of course we play again on Sunday, so we expect that we all need in the squad that we have.”
