Chicago Fire FC and Chicago Stars FC Team Up for Doubleheader on the historic soldier field

CHICAGO (March 6, 2025) – Chicago Fire FC and the Chicago stars FC organized themselves on Saturday, June 14th, in the historic soldier field in the Historic Soldier Field. The Doubleheader will also take place as part of the Fire Chicago Celebration game, which is presented by the Wintrust Financial Corporation, where the fans can show their second City Sprit.

“Chicago Fire FC is happy to get together with the Chicago Stars FC for a full football day to celebrate our great city,” said Dave Baldwin, President of the Chicago Fire FC President for Business Operations. “Our two clubs share the mission to expand the game in Chicagoland, and this Doubleheader is an opportunity to welcome new fans on the Soldier Field to experience the incredible talent that has to offer the football landscape of our city.”

This will be the sixth time that the fire and stars organize a Doublehead. The last time in 2022, which was also the first game of the stars in the Soldier Field and in the city of Chicago. In the match in 2022, the fire and stars attracted 23,951 fans to enjoy world-class football at the lake when the fire against Atlanta United took up, while the stars took over the then NWSL expansion page San Diego Wave FC. This year, the two Chicago teams are looking forward to bringing football and sports fans together again to celebrate the city's two leading football clubs.
