Chicago Fire FC signs Harold Osorio and Sam Williams short -term agreements

CHICAGO (March 1, 2025) -Chicago Fire FC announced today that the Club Chicago Fire FC II midfielder Harold Osorio and Sam Williams signed short-term agreements. Both Osorio and Williams will be available for today's Chicago Fire FC Home Opener against DC United in the Soldier Field.

The kickoff against DC United is planned at 7:30 p.m. CT. The match is transferred live on the MLS season pass to Apple TV and transferred to Que Buena 105.1 FM in Spanish and Spanish via the UFORIA app on Que Buena 105.1 FM.

Both Osorio and Williams traveled fire last Saturday for the club's start of the season against the Columbus crew. They took part in the pre -season camps of Chicago Fire and received minutes against the Brazilian First Division Side Fortaleza and the MLS Western Conference Foe Sporting Kansas City in Florida and played against LAFC, Portland Timbers and San Jose Earthquake at Coachella Valley Invitational. Both also played in a closed scrimmage against Las Vegas Lights FC to close the previous season.

The 21 -year -old Osorio came up with Chicago Fire II, the MLS Next Pro page of the club, in August 2022 from Alianza Fútbol Club in El Salvadors Primera División. The El Salvador International has now played in 33 games in all competitions for Chicago Fire II, including the MLS next Pro season, MLS Next Pro Playoffs and the Lamar Hunt Us Open Cup. In 2024, Osorio scored nine goals as a midfielder, the second in the team behind the top scorer of the league, David Poreba (18 goals).

The 19 -year -old Williams came from the University of North Carolina to Chicago Fire II in January 2025 began his career at the New York Red Bulls Academy, where he was the first graduate for New York Red Bulls II during the 2022 season. In North Carolina, Williams was called the 2022 All-Acc-Semester and All-Acc-ACC.

This is the second short-term agreement for Osorio and Williams in 2025. By MLS rules, a club can sign a player from his partner (MLS Next Pro or Usl) for a maximum of four short-term agreements (up to four-day contracts) per season (a maximum of 16 days). A single player can be played in up to four regular season games for seasonal games per season. However, this player can appear in MLS in no more than two regular season games. A single player can appear in any number of non-League games during the provisions of his four short-term agreements.
