Man, 77, killed at South Side Shooting: CPD

The Chicago police said that a 77-year-old man was killed at a shootout on the south side on Tuesday morning.

Chicago (WLS) – A 77-year-old man was killed at a shootout on the south side on Tuesday morning, said the Chicago police.

The shootout took place around 3:12 a.m. in the 10900 block of the South Edbrooke Avenue.

The officers were on patrol when they heard shots and were then sent to a report about a person, the police said.

After the police had arrived on site, the officers discovered a 77-year-old man with gunshot wounds on the head and neck.

The man was declared dead at the crime scene. The authorities have not published its identity.

Nobody is in custody and two detectives are explored in the region two.
