Chicago shooting: 6 injured, including the suspect, in the shootout in the South Side Spirituos Store

Six people, including a suspicious shooter, were shot on Friday evening during a dispute in a spirits business in South Side.

The shootout occurred in the 1900 block of the West 51st Street in the back of the district of Yards, the police said.

What we know:

Several people were in the spirits business when the verbal argument between two parties took place.

A 22-year-old woman produced a gun and fired shots.

A male perpetrator in the group also grabbed a weapon and fired more shots at several victims.

Another man replied the fire with the perpetrators. The perpetrators then fled the scene.

Several victims and the female perpetrator were shot. The 22-year-old was shot in the heel and the thigh. It was listed in good condition and even transferred to the Rush Hospital.

The victims shot:

  • A 48-year-old man who was shot in the stomach. It was listed in a critical condition and brought to the Medical Center of the University of Chicago.
  • A 22-year-old man who was shot into the chest. It was listed in a critical state and brought to the straw hospital.
  • A 61-year-old woman who had grazed left her left elbow. It was listed in good condition and rejected the medical services.
  • A 46-year-old man who was shot into the left hand. It was listed in good condition and brought to the Medical Center at the University of Chicago.

No weapons were recovered.

The police arrested the 22-year-old suspect.

What we don't know:

The suspect was not named by the police. CPD has also not stated which fees would be charged.
