In the lawsuit, which was submitted on Monday, March 3, he claimed that the sports commission “could not ensure a safe and safe environment” by neglecting “security demonstrations, controlled entry points and a visible safety presence”.

Lemons said that the sports commission did not present such “reasonable precautionary measures”, “the participants exposed to an unacceptable and predictable risk of damage”.

The suit of Lemons compare the “failure” of the 2024 rally with successful large -scale events in the same place, which went without a follower because they contained “comprehensive security protocols”. In the petition, Lemons expressly hopes to “work for safer public event practices in Kansas City” by holding the Commission accountable.

The sports commission sent an explanation to KSHB 41 on Wednesday in response to the lawsuit.

“We are aware of the latest lawsuit, which was submitted against the sports commission and does not agree with its claims.

“Our insurance company takes care of everything in relation to this matter. We will not have any further comments regarding claims or complaints that will deal in the future.

“For questions about security plans for the celebration, we recommend contacting the Kansas City police.”
