Chinese woman with Cambridge Master's degree rejects Biotech -Job to become a zooeper

A Chinese graduate from the University of Cambridge was a zooeper in Shanghai in Shanghai for better health, but her career choice has affected many people.

The 25-year-old Ma Ya from the Jiangsu province of Ostkina made a courageous decision to give up her higher-paid job in a biopharmaceutical company, and now works as a zooeper in the renowned Shanghai zoo.

The average monthly content for a new researcher at Biopharmaceutical Companies is around 10,000 Yuan ($ 1,400), while that of a zooeper is about half of it.

Many found the decision of MA surprisingly and unconventional, especially in view of their impressive educational background, which comprises a Bachelor's degree in biological science from Imperial College London and a master in veterinary science from the renowned University of Cambridge.

However, Ma expressed that her role in the zoo made her “healthier” because she enjoys the active lifestyle and no longer feels limited to an office environment.
