Chippewa man triggered from Washington

Chippewa County, me. (WLUC) – A man from Chippewa County who lived in Washington was delivered to the UP and will be charged with five crimes in 2016 due to supposedly sexual attacks by a woman of Chippewa County.

The 36-year-old Aaron Jarrett, who lived in Clark County, Washington, was charged with the 91st District Court in Sault Ste Marie on Thursday

Jarrett will be accused of sexually attacked a woman in the Chippewa district in May 2016, and was later charged by the Chippewa County public prosecutor, the four cases of criminal sexual behavior, a potential lifelong prison sentence and a number of illegal detentional, a 15-year lust, a 15-year-old upper body.

Jarrett was delivered by the US marshal service in Chippewa County on Wednesday to face these charges as part of the Survivor Justice operation.

The deliveries by Operation Survivor Justice were financed last year by a state appropriation of 1 million US dollars. The operation is a partnership between the Michigan General Prosecutor, the local public prosecutor and the US marshal service in order to localize, record and return to Michigan with outstanding sexual assault according to Michigan refugees.

“In the six months since the announcement of the Survivor Justice Operation, my office has worked with prosecutors across the state and the US marshal service to deliver over a dozen people who are accused due to terrible sexual assault,” said Nessel. “I am still obliged to continue this important work in order to keep our communities secure and ensure that those who commit such crimes are held accountable.”

Jarrett's bond was set at 500,000 US dollars. Next, on March 13th at 9:30 a.m. in the 91st district court for a conference for likely causes and a preliminary examination on March 20 at 9:30 a.m.
