Clallam Fire District 2 is home to an annual recognition banquet

Port Angeles – Kate Haworth, Taylor Counts and Tristan Lowman were honored as the honored year of the annual Clallam County Fire District 2 Awards and recognition banketts in the Eagles Club.

The banquet on Saturday offered the opportunity to recognize career and volunteers for their hard work and commitment, the Fire District said in a press release.

Haworth was appointed firefighter in 2024 of the year. In 2020, she first worked together as a volunteer and hired in November 2023 as a full-time career female female.

“She did an excellent job to complete her probation year as a new career female female and took part in countless additional training opportunities,” said the fire brigade district. “Kate also took over the improvement of the Fire District's social media presence to promote who we are and what we do to serve the community. In addition, it was instrumental in supporting our efforts to successfully pass our efforts in November 2024 by the voters who were approved by the voters. ”

Counts was appointed voluntary EMT in 2024 and Lowman as volunteer firefighter in 2024 of the year.

Counts joined the Fire District in 2023, quickly received his EMT certification and recently completed the Regional Fire Academy. At the end of the Fire Academy, he was awarded the “Chief's Company”, who recognizes those who showed the necessary attitude and skills to be ready on the first day.

Lowman joined the Fire District in 2019 and has become one of the “old salt” firefighters, said the fire brigade district.

“His positive attitude and mentoring of new members was invaluable to create an inviting environment for everyone,” said the Fire District. “His skills and skills make him a trustworthy and reliable responder that embodies the real service for the community.”

Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue has about 35 volunteers who provide additional staff in large or overlapping incidents. They also support the small contingent of the career staff every day to provide help if necessary.

Every year the Fire District recognizes its top responder, which have reacted to at least 10 percent of the total calls of the year. For 2024 they included captain/Emt Kevin Thompson, Captain/Emt Marty Martinez, Firefighter/Emt Makayla Cashman and firefighter/Emt Brock Tejeda.

In addition, firefighters/paramedics Gary Arbuckle, firefighter/paramedic Joe Elliott, firefighter/Emt Tristan Lowman, Captain/Emt Marty Martinez, firefighter/parameter Erik Sundin, firefighter/Emt Josh Williams and voluntary training coordinator Anaka Hughes, who her Five -Five – Five traination coordinator Anaka Hughes had worshiped to record her five to achieve them. -Meilestein of the year with the Fire District.
