Clarke, Wilcox Sweep Caa light athletes of the week

Richmond, Va.-Elon University Track & Field Student Athlete Adriana Clarke And Meghan Wilcox Swept the first weekly Caa outdoor ceremonies of the 2025 season. Clarke was appointed Caa field athlete of the week and Meghan Wilcox was appointed Caa Track athlete of the week.

Elon opened the outdoor season by organizing the Phoenix Invitational, and the team won 11 events and gave numerous personal best. Adriana Clarke won the hammer throw with a throw of 179 foot-11 (54.84 m). The distance is in fourth place in school history and leads the CAA after the opening weekend. Clarke also takes third place in the East region and the ninth in the NCAA. She also competed in Shot Put and took seventh place with 38-11 (11.86 m).

Wilcox played in the 100 and 200 and ran at the same time at the winning team. It ran 12.10 seconds in the 200 and 24.91 seconds in the 200, with both times the CAA led after the first week. In the 100, Wilcox currently occupies number 12 in the East region and No. 40 National. In the 200 it is 9th place in the east and No. 38 in the country. Finally, Wilcox led the second stage of the 400 relay, which won the Phoenix Invitational with a time of 47.42 seconds.

Elon returns to the campaign on Friday and Saturday at the HPU Team Challenge from High Point before taking part in the Raleigh Relays on March 27th to 29th.
