Class B region 1 girl basketball tournament taps in Jamestown today

The tournament time in North Dakota and the city of Jamestown will continue their fun after a successful tournament in District 2 took place last weekend.

Class B's girls' basketball tournament starts today (February 24) with teams from District 1 and District 2 to achieve a shot in the state.

The following matchups are located in the opening round of region 1 tournament and will perform games to start.

1. D2 #1 Linton HMB (lion) Against D1 #4 Wyndmere/Lidgerwood (Warbirds)

• Linton HMB defeated Lamour Litchville Marion in District 2 Championship and appears as seed number 1 in District 2.
• Wyndmere Lidgerwood defeated Richland in the regional qualification game in order to get into the number 4 of District 1.
• These teams did not play each other in the regular season.

2. D1 #2 Sargent County (Bulldogs) Against D2 #3 Edgeley/Kulm/Montelier (rebels)))

• Sargent County lost to Maple River in the tournament championship of District 1 and enters the tournament as number 2 in district 1.
• EKM defeated Ellendale in the regional qualification game to get as number 3 in District 2.
• EKM defeated Sargent County on January 18 in the regular 52-41 season.

3. D1 #1 Maple River (Raiders) Against D2 #4 Kidder County (wolves)

• Maple River defeated Sargent County in the tournament championship of District 1, who entered the tournament as a seed in District 1.
• Kidder County defeated Napoleon Gackle Street in the regional qualification game to enter the number 4 of District 2.
• These teams did not play each other in the regular season.

4. D2 #2 Lamour Litchville Marion (Loboes) Against D1 #3 Oakes (tornados)

• Lamour LM lost to Linton-MHM in the tournament championship of District 2 and appears as seed number 2 in district 2.
• Oakes defeated the Tri-State in the regional qualification game to enter District 1 No. 3 Seed as tournaments.
• Lamore-LM defeated Oakes on February 6th in the regular season 60-45.
