Clemson will start the newcomer Brendon Bennett against Wintrop

The true newcomer Brendon Bennett will start his first college start on Tuesday when Clemson organizes Winthrop Stadium on Tuesday.

Bennett, who comes from Michigan, was originally obliged to play for the Wolverines, but in the summer of 2022, about a month after the hiring of Erik Bakich, flipped to the Tigers. Bennett was the fifth best player in his state who came from the high school.

The hard left -handed man has a fast ball that rounds up in the low until the mid -1990s, and the fact that Bakich leads him out there at the beginning of the season shows how much trust the staff has in the first year.

“Winthrop is currently the most important game,” said Bakich after the victory on Sunday. “Because it's the next game. We won't overlook you. “

Winthrop has a 4-3 start in the first year in the first year, Mike McGuire. The Eagles depict McGuire from USC upstates, who achieved a few victories against the Tiger in the last seasons, including an 11-1 win in the Fluor Field last year.

“We know that they are coming in and a good team and capable,” added Bakich. “Coach McGuire does a damn good job and had our number at USC last year.”

Bakich's Tiger have a 6-1 start that divides all four games of the Clemson Invitational games last weekend.

The Tigers became Aidan Leguernic by Aidan Knaak, Ethan Darden and Justin Leguernic over the weekend. Bakich hopes that the true newcomer can continue this trend in the first week of the season in the first week of the season.

Since the large series with the rival South Carolina no longer does this weekend, Bakich confident that his players will recognize that they will get Winthrop's best shot.

“We know that they are being trained well,” said Bakich. “You will be excited and play hard. We will be ready for the Gamecocks when it is time for the GameCocks, but at the moment we will be ready for Winthrop. “
