  • The St. Johns band had an early start on Friday and performed on the “Today” show to perform on the Rockefeller Plaza.

  • Finale: Tennessee 83, Texas 72

The late rally in Texas could help your NCAA tournament opportunities. But the victory of the Longhorns against Texas A&M on Thursday may not be enough to get them out of the bladder.

To blow out Tennessee would not have helped Texas to achieve the chances of the selection committee. And really, the Longhorns were never in the SEC quarter -final game on Friday, although the end result could indicate this. They didn't play like a team whose post -season was at stake.

The Vols play Auburn, who defeated Ole Miss on Friday on Friday in the semi -finals on Saturday at 1 p.m. Tennessee lost a close game in her regular season game 53-51.

  • Chendall Weaver from Texas rolled his left ankle after he had hit an offensive rebound, and looked as if he had to come out of the game.

However, he stayed in and made two free throws to cut Tennessee's lead to 75-65 with 3:28 in the second half.

  • Texas shows a bit of life, but it's probably too late. A wild Kadin Shedrick dipped through two defenders, pulling the longhorns within 75-63, but only four minutes stay in the game.
